The Nadaburg Unified School District is comprised of Wittmann, a small, unincorporated rural community, and the Northwest corridor of the fast growing City of Surprise, as well as a small segment of the Northwestern part of Peoria. The topography is a combination of the high Sonoran Desert with an abundance of saguaros and gently rolling plains surrounded by picturesque mountains. Downtown Phoenix is 35 miles away, and the sports complexes and higher educational opportunities of Glendale are in close proximity. Wickenburg, with its colorful past and world renowned ranches and resorts, is just a short 20 minutes away.
Growing from a red, one-room school house in Wittmann to a system of schools, soon to include a high school, the Nadaburg Unified School District's Nadaburg Elementary School and Desert Oasis Elementary School, are "Performing" schools serving approximately 800 Pre-K-9 students. The District is proud to offer the west valley's first two year Grand Canyon High School diploma to this year's freshmen class. This is available via Arizona's groundbreaking "Move On When Ready" legislation enacted just last year.
